The sad part is that Coleman isn’t home yet.
But we’re so glad that Carson was discharged earlier today, and that tonight (Sunday night) is his first night at home with us.
We’re trying to be glass-half-full folks, instead of glass-half-empty. Or babies-room-half-full, I guess.
Carson was discharged this afternoon after his 1 p.m. feeding. It was a very bittersweet event. We were so happy to leave the hospital with Carson in hand, but sad to leave Coleman behind.
But we were back at the hospital in time for Coleman’s 7 p.m. feeding, and then we’ll be back again tomorrow, God willing, and again and again until he’s discharged.
It could be several days till he’s released. He needs to be feeding better on his own (not needing the feeding tube). Pray with us for Godspeed in his eating improvement.
Other notables from today: Coleman’s second bath, Daddy’s first chance to cut the grass since the delivery (very therapeutic), and Famous Dave’s dinner with Grandpa Tom, Grandma Peg, Uncle Dan, Auntie Kim, and cousins Hannah and Noelan.
