Lundberg Family Reunion

This weekend we’re in Aitkin, Minnesota, for the Lundberg family reunion.

Megan’s dad, Tom Lundberg, is one of the grandchildren of Peter and Betsey Lundberg. Peter moved from Sweden to Kimberly township, not far outside of Aitkin, in the early twentieth century. He was a cook. I’d think he made Swedish meatballs.

Everyone here at the reunion is descended from Peter (through one of his four children) or married into the family. Peter’s son Gerald (who died in 2004) is Tom’s dad and Megan’s grandfather. Which makes him Carson’s and Coleman’s Great Grandpa Gerry.

But not only is it family reunion weekend, but also August 19th was the 4th birthday for our nephew Mason and the 1st birthday for our nephew Noelan (if you’re doing the math at home, these guys are cousins for Carse & Cole—and remember their names form a little rhyming couplet: Mason, Noelan / Carson, Coleman).

In other news, we had the guys weighed in on Thursday. Cole is now 7 lbs, 12 oz., and Carson is 7 lbs, 6 oz.

We have another good day and a half of reunion ahead of us, but here’s a few photos we captured so far…
