It’s been awhile since we have been able to sit down and give a good update.
Maybe it’s because the boys are moving, eating, and entertaining us a lot. Home life is busy at this 10-month stage.
Maybe it’s because, hurray, it is finally nice out, and we have been going on walks, working in the yard, and enjoying (as much) time (as we can) outdoors.
Maybe it’s because we have been traveling, hosting, celebrating, and preparing to do a lot more of that in the coming months! (Our summer trek to Florida is coming…)
Here are some highlights of these activities—with hopefully more on the way in the coming weeks….
Also, happy 30th Birthday today to Auntie Kim!
Apparently, Kim, I have zero pictures of you with my kids in the last year. We need to do something about that. Memorial Day. Thanks for all your love, support, challenges, and laughter over the past years (especially the last year!). You have a beautiful family. Thank you for making me an auntie (twice now!)—it really is one of my favorite roles yet!
And happy Birthday, Molly! My friend Molly also has a birthday today. I brought the boys over to her house for coffee and a treat, and our babies (one month) apart finally got to see each other! I am thankful to have Molly as a friend and to be doing this twins thing together, even if we don’t see each other as much as we want (twins are a handful, after all). Some days all I need is to know somebody else is juggling this craziness!
We celebrated Grandpa Tom’s birthday a couple of weekends ago. Here he is with all his grandbabies.
Right now, Cole is 20 pounds, 1 ounce. He is 28.7″ long. He is crawling and scooting around. He loves cheese and fruit. He has just started to pull up in his crib and around the house. He repeats dada and occasionally mama. He loves when his brother crawls on him, and it makes him laugh hysterically. He sleeps 12 hours at night and takes two good naps a day. But no teeth yet!
Carson weighed in at 21 pounds, 14 ounces and was 28 inches. He is all over the place right now! He pulls up, cruises a few steps, even stood on his own for a few seconds. He loves to eat off his tray (cheese, fruit, puffs) and has one tooth! He sleeps about 11 hours most nights and is a cat-napper (at best). He loves talking to Cole and being around mommy and daddy. He is not too crazy about church nursery yet!
