One-Year Pictures: Take 1, 2, 3, 4…

For the entire month of July, we were on a mission to get a good one-year photo of our boys together. Then it turned into a mission for the month of August. Then we called in reinforcements in the form of a good friend, and together we conquered the task.

Here are some of our mishaps—notice several different backdrops—we tried at our house, the park, in the yard, at the lake, and more. Megan’s amateur photography skills and two moving one-year-olds made things a little more difficult than we had bargained for.

They looked away from each other, laughed, cried, ate sand, crawled, yelled, looked sleepy, and just about any other funny emotion that could be caught in a photo.

Meg even asked our friend Emily to come over one day and help. After hundreds of pictures, she got some good ones of Lily (Emily’s daughter), Carson, and Coleman by themselves. But nothing together.

The boys' best girl, Lily.

At least somebody was excited about picture-taking that day.

Then we turned to Andie. Results from that photo shoot on the next post!…
